According to Chris Uhlenbeck in Japanese Erotic Fantasies: Sexual Imagery of the Edo Period (2005), images of two women engaged in sexual activity with one another were rare. The text in this image represents the conversation taking place between the two women—one tells the other to insert the dildo quickly because she has almost reached orgasm. The crumbled tissue suggests that one of the women has already achieved climax.
