Michael Miksche was a New York artist who worked in the advertising industry. As "Steve Masters", he created images of muscular, tattoed men that were published in physique magazines. During a visit to the Institute for Sex Research, Miksche created this light drawing with the help of Alfred Kinsey's staff photographer William Dellenback.
